Mark Leonard is the Executive Director of the European Council on Foreign Relations. He is also an adviser to companies and governments on China as well as Middle East reform.
Previously, Mark Leonard was the Director of Foreign Policy at the London-based Centre for European Reform, and was a transatlantic fellow at the German Marshall Fund in the United States.
Mr. Leonard has authored two books and has written several articles on international affairs in periodicals including The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, and The International Herald Tribune.

Representation is a bad idea. People who support that merely follow a normal path, how they have seen life is and are hypocritical. Representation is undemocratic and it is the cause of the social problems, because tyranny always renders others in an unbearable situation. Get rid of everything about the present system and replace it with an egalitarian direct participatory democracy, where nobody can say 'I have more right to be here than you do'

I don't think that Americans understand their constitution to make that comparison. And things that are different from participatory democracy are due to contemporary byrocracy, which is only uses the constitution as an excuse for irresponsible personal gain. Such is the capitalist economy. Very hypocritical and deceitful.
